Editorial policy
This page states how we research, draft, publish and correct the guidance on this site. It also names the company accountable for every claim we make.
How we research
We use primary sources only. Our sources are EUR-Lex with its ELI and CELEX identifiers, the Official Journal of the European Union, ENISA publications, and CEN and CENELEC standardisation documents.
We link every source next to the claim it supports. We do not publish a statistic unless we read it from a source file in our own repository. If a number has no methodology behind it, we leave it out.
How we use AI
AI assists our drafting. A human reviews every page before publication. The review checks each legal reference against the source text and each claim against its citation.
Who is accountable
Porta Regulus B.V. publishes this site and is accountable for everything on it. The identifiers below are public-register facts. Anyone can check them against the Dutch trade register.
Why our bylines are organizational
Articles on this site carry the company name rather than an individual name. This is a disclosure, not an omission. The people behind CVD Portal keep a low public profile, so we publish under the company instead of under invented author personas.
A named persona you cannot verify is worth less than a registered entity you can. Porta Regulus B.V. is a legal entity with a KvK number anyone can check. That registration is our byline.
Corrections
Found an error? Write to [email protected] with the page URL and the passage in question.
We check every report against the cited source. When a correction is needed, we fix the page and update its last-reviewed date. When we cannot reproduce the error, we reply and explain what the source says.
What we do not publish
- A customer name, logo, testimonial or count without written permission.
- Paraphrased legal text presented as the regulation itself.
- A statistic without a linked source and methodology.
